About The Position

Cooper University Health Care is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving residents and visitors throughout Cape May County. The system includes Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional; three urgent care facilities; nearly 30 primary care and specialty care offices in multiple locations throughout Cape May County; The Cancer Center at Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional; the Claire C. Brodesser Surgery Center; AMI at Cooper, Miracles Fitness and numerous freestanding outpatient facilities providing wound care, lab, and physical therapy services. This position involves interviewing and screening patients prior to MRI procedures to ensure there are no safety concerns/contraindications, performing MRI procedures following the protocols established by the Radiologists, beginning studies, transferring images, documenting patient history, and completing studies in EPIC / EMR and PACS system.

Requirements

  • Able to correctly apply MRI compatible monitoring system/IV infusion pump to patients when necessary.
  • Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are needed to effectively orchestrate the daily workflow of patients.
  • Highly developed customer service skills are required.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
  • Graduate of AMA Approved RT Program.
  • Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • BLS/CPR required after 6 months' employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Canon MRI experience preferred.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification preferred.

Responsibilities
