About The Position

In this role you will be: Assist MRI technologists with patient preparation, including screening forms, gowning, and positioning assistance as directed Transport patients safely to and from the MRI suite, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency cases Perform MRI safety screening for patients, visitors, and staff under technologist supervision Maintain MRI room readiness, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and preparing coils and accessories Monitor patients before, during, and after exams for comfort and safety, reporting concerns to technologists or nursing staff Assist with patient transfers using proper body mechanics and approved lifting devices Ensure MRI safety compliance, including Zone restrictions and removal of ferromagnetic items Support scheduling flow by communicating patient status and room readiness to the MRI team Assist with contrast exam preparation as allowed by policy (non-clinical tasks only) Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Perform other duties as assigned to support imaging department operations OTHER DUTIES Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Prior healthcare, patient care, or hospital experience preferred
