About The Position

As an intern, you will gain broad exposure to varied areas such as Design, Engineering, Lean, Manufacturing/Production, Quality, Sourcing / materials and Other Manufacturing related positions related to their field of study. Experienced managers mentor Intern contributions and development during their assignments. Requirements

Current enrollment in a degree program that will lead to a bachelors or technical degree with minimum 3.0 GPA .
Completed one full year of college (rising Sophomore)
Dependable transportation to / from work
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
Effective time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.

Nice To Haves

At least 24 credit hours of coursework toward a bachelors/technical (or equivalent) degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Material Science, related engineering and/or non-Engineering degree program.
Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines.
Previous experience using independent thought processes to plan ahead, process information, maintain workflow and anticipate future needs of the team.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse team across different time zones.

Responsibilities

Works on projects often requiring independent decision-making.
Develops PowerPoint presentations and other graphic presentations to communicate progress, share best practices, or to provide updates.
May be asked to analyze data with excel or various other analysis tools
May be asked to take on certain aspects of a full-time job within the function the intern is studying. For example, may be asked to write software code if in an engineering internship or might be asked to perform compensation analysis if in a HR internship.
May be asked to participate in early talent events, seminars or training.
Performing assignments where trust and accuracy are required.
