About The Position

The MRI Technologist II position at Evanston Hospital is a full-time role with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm, with no weekend shifts required. The position involves performing MRI exams to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses and injuries, adhering to departmental standards, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, obtaining and recording medical histories, explaining procedures, positioning patients for comfort, reviewing MRI images for quality, and assisting with post-procedural care for patients of all ages.

Requirements

• License: ARRT- MR.
• Education: Certification or Associate’s degree in Radiology from an accredited program.
• Certification: CPR required.
• Experience: Previous MRI Technologist experience required.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury.
• Prepare patients for exam: obtain and record history, explain procedures, position patients and ensure their comfort.
• Review MRI images to ensure optimum quality.
• Assist with patient/family participation in post-procedural care for all age groups and provide resource information as directed.
