About The Position

Piper Companies is seeking a cleared MQ Admin to join a mission- critical forward team based in Annapolis Junction, MD or Colorado Springs, CO.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a MQ Administrator role or in a related field
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• This individual must be able to accommodate a rotational on-call schedule as needed.
• Experience with WebSphere
• Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
• IBM System Admin for MQ certification

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain MQ systems to ensure uptime, performance, and smooth operation of queues, channels, and other MQ objects.
• Manage security protocols, including user access, permissions, and secure data transmission across MQ environments.
• Perform troubleshooting and incident response, coordinating with support teams and addressing alerts to maintain system availability.
• Apply updates and manage recovery operations, including patches, backups, and disaster recovery drills, following established procedures.
• Collaborate and document by working with IT teams, tracking system usage, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
