Performs work associated with die installation and calibration of various manufacturing machines and equipment.

Requirements

  • Perform work under direct supervision
  • Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff
  • Possess beginning to work knowledge of subject matter.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience, including experience driving powered industrial equipment
  • Ability to interpret work instructions
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Ability to read and understand measuring equipment (tape measure, calipers, ect.)
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift/move heavy objects
  • Manual dexterity
  • Physical stamina

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently install dies into various types of equipment and perform adjustments as needed.
  • Show aptitude for basic trouble shooting of dies and machines.
  • Test and inspect machines to determine safe and efficient operation, perform routine maintenance and fix standard malfunctions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods and sequence of operation
  • Operate powered industrial equipment if needed
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
