During this 10-week internship, you'll gain hands-on experience within a leading health system through the Market Performance Partnership (MPP) Internship Program. The program encompasses a variety of service areas within our Optum Insight (OI) Provider Market team. Interns in the 2026 cohort will be placed in one of eight hybrid-location sites based on business needs and geographic location: Eden Prairie, Minnesota; Waukesha, Wisconsin; Owensboro, Kentucky; Boulder, Colorado; Walnut Creek, California; Portland, Maine; Bangor, Maine; Presque Isle, Maine. The goal of our internship is to put people first and stay true to our mission - helping people live healthier lives and helping the health system work better for everyone.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Analytics, Information Technology, or Business related
  • Intermediate level of experience with productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proven comfortability with public speaking and client-facing work
  • Proven solid problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proven eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
