The Boeing Company is looking for Electrical Engineers (MP&P) in Berkeley, MO. Position Responsibilities: Apply engineering knowledge of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical components in evaluation of components for assembly and subassembly repair/design. Directly support subcontractors and suppliers to ensure their electronic components are qualified for Boeing usage by the contract. Work in a harsh / high reliability design environment, including previous aerospace, medical device, automotive, or industrial design/application experience. Knowledge of connectors, wires, and cables, including the fabrication of cables/bundles, installation of cables/harnesses, etc. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A U.S. Secret clearance post-start may be required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Level 1 Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor), or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Experience or coursework that has given the candidate a familiarity with basic electronic components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transformers, connectors, integrated circuits, etc.). Strong evidence of ability to work as part of a team and familiarity with the idea of working within a hierarchal organization as demonstrated by class projects or previous experience. Strong writing and communication skills in addition to a focus on attention to detail. Understanding of the concept of requirements and requirements documentation. Understanding the concept of qualifying parts, evaluating parts Preference for an additional 1-2 of the “Nice to Have” competencies below, although not necessarily a hard requirement. Level 2 Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Engineering Technology), Computer Science, Engineering Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. A deeper familiarity and experience with some form of requirements documentation or military/industrial standards documents (such as customer requirements, military specifications, industry specifications, government regulations, etc.). Past work experience with connectors, wires, and cable (i.e. electrical interconnect) wiring harnesses. Familiarity with industry specifications (SAE, IEEE, component datasheets). Candidates are expected to demonstrate at least a basic competence in 2-3 of the “Nice to Have” areas, which these carrying more weight than for Grade 1 candidates.
