About The Position

The Mowing Crew Member is responsible for working as a team member under the direct supervision of the Area Manager. You will be responsible for performing mowing and trimming services throughout Des Moines and surrounding areas while working in an efficient manner, promoting job worksite safety, providing excellent customer service, and exhibiting pride and quality workmanship.

Requirements

• Valid Iowa driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or be willing to obtain one
• Proficiency in operating commercial mowers and equipment
• 2-3 years of commercial lawn mowing experience
• Ability to cope with a physically demanding job
• Ability to reach, climb, kneel, lift (up to 50 lbs.) and walk for extended periods of time
• Strong work ethic and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim and edge lawns
• Operate zero turn mowers, trimmers, edgers and other power equipment
• Perform general maintenance on equipment as needed
• Work flexible hours in all weather conditions to accommodate the seasonality of the industry
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Uphold the values of Wright Outdoor Solutions which includes; safety, integrity, excellence, stewardship and family
• Perform other duties as related or assigned in all service areas of Wright Outdoor Solutions
