About The Position

The donation ambassador (truck help/mover) at Essex County Habitat for Humanity ReStore plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission to build homes and communities. This part-time position involves assisting with the collection of donated goods, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining positive relationships with staff and customers.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs independently and work as a team to move larger items.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with truck set up for the day.
• Assist the truck driver in picking up donated goods from homes and businesses.
• Load and unload all donated materials while avoiding damage.
• Perform well in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
• Follow directions effectively.
• Support the retail team as needed.
• Maintain effective working relationships with ReStore staff, volunteers, Habitat homeowners, and ReStore customers.
• Maintain professionalism.
