Requirements

  • Professionalism and a positive, courteous attitude towards co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with company procedures and regulations (OSHA and MSHA).
  • Flexibility to travel, work overtime, nights, weekends, and in diverse outdoor conditions.
  • Reliability in reporting to work on time and adhering to schedules.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and support team goals.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in construction or related fields strongly preferred.
  • Current driver's license meeting state requirements (CDL Class A with hazmat, airbrakes, and tanker endorsement required).
  • Clean driving record (MVR that meets company standards).
  • Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and “Fit for Work” physical.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to provide valid documentation for I-9 verification.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company trucks and heavy equipment for moving materials and equipment to job sites.
  • Perform thorough daily pre- and post-trip inspections, documenting findings per DOT and company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate mileage and vehicle logs.
  • Load and unload materials; manual unloading may be required depending on haul type.
  • Monitor vehicle gauges and report any issues to management promptly.
  • Keep trucks clean and well-maintained; perform minor servicing as needed and report major issues to supervisors.
  • Follow dispatch instructions, traffic laws, and company policies at all times.
  • Assist with general labor duties and operate additional heavy equipment as needed for road, site, or highway construction and paving.
  • Serve as a mentor by helping train less-experienced team members on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Promote a safe work environment for yourself and your team, including clear communication and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
