Job Description What this job involves - We are seeking a motivated Move Technician/Carpenter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing workplace relocations, assembling and disassembling office furniture, and performing various facility maintenance tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build a career in facilities management. What your day-to-day will look like: Relocate and reconfigure office equipment, furniture, and materials for associates moving between site locations Assemble and disassemble modular office furniture, cubicles, and with various office layouts Perform basic work such as installing shelves, hanging whiteboards, and minor repairs Assist with general office maintenance including light mechanical repairs Create and manage keys for office spaces Knowledge of basic carpentry is a plus but not required (sheetrock, doors, walls, framing, painting) Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times Maintain an organized inventory of tools and supplies Document completed work orders in SAP Collaborate effectively with team members in a corporate environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and understand furniture assembly instructions
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation to job sites
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, moving, or furniture assembly preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of basic carpentry is a plus but not required (sheetrock, doors, walls, framing, painting)
