We are looking for a skilled Motor Winder with expertise in AC (Alternating Current) and/or DC (Direct Current) motor winding to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for winding the coils of AC and DC motors, ensuring that the winding process meets strict quality, safety, and performance standards. You will work with various materials, including copper wire, and use specialized winding machines and hand tools to produce motor windings for a wide range of applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of motor construction and winding techniques, attention to detail, and experience working with both AC and DC motors.

  • Set up and operate winding machines and hand tools to wind stator and rotor coils for AC and DC motors, ensuring precise coil winding patterns and correct wire placement.
  • Work with copper wire, insulation materials, and other components, ensuring proper handling, cutting, and spooling of materials as per specifications.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, motor blueprints, and technical drawings to determine winding specifications, such as number of turns, coil dimensions, and wire gauge.
  • Inspect wound coils for defects, such as improper winding tension, wire misalignment, or insulation issues. Perform testing to ensure the coils meet required electrical and mechanical specifications.
  • Set up winding equipment for different motor types and sizes. Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of winding machines and tools to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to winding machinery, material handling, or motor assembly.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) while working with electrical components, winding machines, and other tools.
  • Keep accurate records of production, including winding specifications, motor assembly details, and testing results.
  • Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure the timely and efficient production of high-quality motors.
  • Experience in motor manufacturing or electrical equipment repair is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in motor winding techniques for AC and/or DC motors, including the use of automatic and manual winding machines.
  • Understanding of insulation types, wire gauges, and coil patterns.
  • Familiarity with motor testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity with motor components, assembly processes, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong ability to maintain high precision in winding coils and assembling motors to specifications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot winding and motor assembly issues, including identifying defective parts and adjusting the winding process as needed.
  • Ability to handle materials, lift heavy motor parts, and stand for extended periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols for working with electrical machinery and materials.
  • Strong communication skills to report issues, collaborate with the team, and understand technical instructions.
  • Health & dental insurance
  • Group life & accidental death & dismemberment insurance
  • Supplemental life insurance
  • Voluntary accident insurance
  • Company Paid Disability insurance (short and long-term)
  • Vacation and holidays
  • 401k
