The position is located at DMV Headquarters in Sacramento. The Mandatory Actions Unit (MAU) is seeking a candidate who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed to providing quality customer service. Under the direction of a Manager I, the Motor Vehicle Representative will understand, and apply driver license procedures and policies, and provisions of the California Vehicle Code Book, which apply to the licensing of the driver and sanctioning of the driving privilege. Assist with interpretation of Driving Under the Influence laws, and mandatory actions. Use effective communications skills to respond to inquiries via telephone and written correspondence related to suspensions, restrictions and reinstatement sanctions and requirements with Field Office, Public, other departmental entities, law enforcement and attorneys; and review and analyze printouts and documents to correct the most complex driver record. This Limited Term position may be extended to 24 months and may become Permanent.
