About The Position
The position is located at DMV Headquarters in Sacramento. If you are looking for an opportunity to launch an exciting career in government with the strength of purpose and job security to achieve personal and professional growth AND you have customer service experience, the Mandatory Actions Unit wants you to be their next Motor Vehicle Representative (MVR)! Under the direction of a Manager I, the MVR understands and applies driver license procedures, policies, and provisions of the California Vehicle Code that apply to the licensing of drivers and sanctioning of driving privileges; assists with interpretation of Driving Under the Influence laws, and mandatory actions; uses effective communications skills with Field Office, Public, other departmental entities, law enforcement, and attorneys to respond to inquiries via telephone and written correspondence related to suspensions, restrictions, and reinstatement sanctions and requirements; and reviews and analyzes printouts and documents to correct complex driver records.
