The selected candidates will drive a variety of motor vehicles, primarily a bus on and off State property. Driver will be responsible for the transportation of people or cargo, maintaining a log, pre and post trip inspections, vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance. When no driving is available, drivers will help with other tasks as needed and assigned by the supervisor. Candidates must also pass a mandated per-employment drug screening test. Motor Vehicle Operators are subject to random drug screening tests throughout their career and are required to abide by the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991 (OETETA). Participation in the License Event Notification System (LENS) is required.
