About The Position

The Motor Vehicle Operator at the Central New York Psychiatric Center is responsible for driving various types of vehicles to transport individuals, materials, and equipment as needed. This role involves routine vehicle maintenance and documentation of transportation activities to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State driver license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.
• May be required to possess a CDL Class A, B, C, or General Class D license.

Responsibilities

• Drive a variety of motor vehicles, including automobiles, buses, and trucks, to transport people, materials, and equipment.
• Post manifests and maintain records of goods and people transported to document safe delivery.
• Move and carry cargo onto and off of operated vehicles.
• Operate and maintain motorized equipment in support of maintenance and grounds as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire replacements, and fluid checks.
