About The Position

ASRC Federal is currently seeking qualified candidates to support our CCOE Maintenance Support Program at Fort Gordon, Georgia. ASRC Federal is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Motor Vehicle Mechanic position to support our customer at Fort Gordon, Georgia. This position supports the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE) by providing field-level and preventive maintenance support for government vehicles and equipment assigned to mission units at Fort Gordon. The selected candidate will perform diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspection activities in accordance with Army maintenance standards and applicable technical manuals. This is a union position covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with the Transport Workers Union (TWU). Compensation, work rules, and benefits are administered in accordance with the applicable labor agreement. About the Customer – U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE) The U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE) at Fort Gordon trains and develops the Army’s cyber, signal, and electronic warfare professionals. The organization operates a wide range of vehicles and support equipment used for training, field operations, and mission support. The CCOE Maintenance Support Program provides dedicated maintenance capability to ensure operational readiness of equipment fleets supporting training missions and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience as a motor vehicle mechanic or equipment mechanic.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
  • Experience using mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain installation access to Fort Gordon, AL.
  • Ability to work in a team environment supporting mission readiness.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting U.S. Army vehicle or equipment maintenance operations.
  • Familiarity with Army maintenance programs and policies (AR 750-1, DA PAM 750-8).
  • Experience working in a motor pool or military maintenance environment.
  • Experience using GCSS-Army or other Army maintenance management systems.
  • Prior experience supporting Army training or TRADOC environments.
  • Experience supporting government or defense programs.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Army maintenance management systems such as GCSS-Army to record faults, maintenance actions, and equipment readiness status.
  • Update DA Form 5988-E / DA Form 2404 inspection records and maintenance documentation in accordance with Army maintenance policies.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and repair government vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) in accordance with applicable technical manuals.
  • Conduct routine maintenance including lubrication, filter replacement, tire maintenance, and inspection of vehicle systems.
  • Test and inspect engines, brakes, electrical systems, steering, and suspension components.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  • Repair or replace defective components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
  • Reassemble and reinstall vehicle components following maintenance or repair activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance performed, parts used, and inspection results.
  • Support field maintenance operations at motor pools, training areas, and other authorized maintenance locations across Fort Gordon.
  • Perform on-site troubleshooting and repair in training areas or field environments when equipment becomes non-mission capable.
  • Follow Army safety regulations, maintenance policies, and applicable technical manuals during all maintenance operations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
