The Mechanic Helper performs a variety of tasks such as washing, cleaning, and lubricating vehicles; loading, unloading, and storing automotive parts and supplies; and maintaining work areas. The role involves performing maintenance on military equipment and supplies, including washing, cleaning, and lubricating vehicles, as well as loading, unloading, and storing automotive parts. The Mechanic Helper is also responsible for maintaining work areas to ensure a safe work environment. Additionally, the position includes apprentice maintenance, repair, and modification functions under the supervision of senior team members on common vehicle and vehicle equipment. Duties may involve the installation or removal of access panels, components, and accessories, as well as assisting with checking and replacing components, batteries, and tires. Adherence to safe work practices is essential.
