About The Position

The Motor Vehicle and Equipment Operator is responsible for operating motor vehicles to provide shuttle services for patients, visitors, and staff at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. This role involves driving various vehicles, transporting people and materials, performing maintenance and repair tasks, and ensuring the vehicles are well-maintained and presentable. The position requires physical capability to handle moderate to heavy labor and includes snow plowing duties as needed.

Requirements

• Valid New York State Driver's License.
• Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Valid Commercial Driver's License with the Passenger 'P' Endorsement.
• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
• Physically able to perform moderate to heavy physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor vehicles to provide shuttle services for patients, visitors, and staff between campus locations and the Western New York region.
• Drive a variety of motor vehicles on and off the organization property to transport people, materials, and equipment as required.
• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Maintain the appearance of the vehicles, ensuring they are clean and presentable.
• Plow snow from roads, pathways, and parking lots as needed.
