Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate motor coaches and conduct pre-trip and in-service vehicle inspections.
  • Request maintenance for AAATA vehicles when necessary.
  • Assist passengers with disabilities during boarding and de-boarding.
  • Collect fares and issue transfers to passengers.
  • Announce streets and time points as required by the ADA.
  • Provide information and directions to passengers.
  • Maintain communication with the Operations Control Center and respond to instructions promptly.
  • Adjust route and destination signs as needed.
  • Follow procedures for handling emergencies and disruptive incidents.
  • Complete post-trip vehicle inspection procedures and return vehicles to the garage.
  • Keep vehicle exits and interiors clean and clear of refuse.
  • Complete required forms such as Accident/Incident Reports and Vehicle Condition Cards.
  • Provide in-service training for new operators on vehicle operation and safety procedures.
