About The Position
Under the direction of the Motor Carrier Specialist (MCS) III, the MCS II is responsible for the tour bus and modified limousine terminal inspection programs, including routing and handling of terminal inspection requests received from and returned to the Public Utilities Commission (PUC). The MCS II is also responsible for the drivers' hours-of-service and drivers' records of duty status requirements, Department of Motor Vehicles Employer Pull Notice program requirements, and MCS I Initial Training for the Motor Carrier Unit in Commercial Vehicle Section. The MCS II provides supervision and direction to one Office Technician (Typing), who is responsible for handling and tracking of inspection requests from the PUC.
