About The Position

We’re hiring a Motion & Video Designer to elevate how our brand moves, animates, and tells stories across our marketing channels. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong motion fundamentals who can also edit clean, compelling video content. You should bring a strong creative eye, a proactive mindset, and a passion for honing your craft. You’re excited to tackle a variety of motion challenges, including product demos, animated ads, social content, tradeshow videos, customer testimonials, and micro-animations for Varonis.com. You will also play a key role in evolving our motion graphics package as new creative needs arise.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in a motion design and video editing role
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality motion and video projects, with an exceptional public-facing portfolio
  • Passion for taking risks and experimenting with new and unique ways to represent an enterprise brand, as well as a desire to tackle on new storytelling challenges and technologies
  • Collaborative, systems minded‑, and comfortable balancing creativity with performance constraints
  • Very strong design eye — the right candidate will have a good sense of design principles and be able to create on-brand assets
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines
  • Ability to understand and simplify complex technical concepts
  • Confident working in variety of styles (motion graphics, video, kinetic type, etc.)
  • Expert proficiency using Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier, Final Cut, Rive and Figma

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of 3D technology (Cinema 4D or other)
  • Experience with web performance and accessibility considerations
  • Scriptwriting and editing

Responsibilities

  • Curate motion systems with attention to clarity, design, composition, and timing
  • Develop, maintain and evolve a comprehensive motion graphics package and guidelines to ensure speed and consistency across all motion design assets.
  • Edit a wide range of video content: customer stories, interviews, social content, webinars, explainer videos, etc.
  • Design and animate motion assets from concept to completion across marketing campaigns, social, video, and web
  • Simplify abstract concepts through thoughtful motion
  • Manage projects independently with minimal oversight
  • Find opportunities to improve design processes and workflows
