About The Position

Renaissance Benefits is seeking an experienced Motion Graphics Designer to join our growing team in Okemos, Michigan! The Motion Graphics Designer brings Renaissance campaigns and stories to life through dynamic, visually engaging motion design. This role partners closely with brand, product, content, and digital marketing teammates to concept, design, and deliver motion assets for web, email, social, presentations, events, and internal communications ensuring every output aligns to Renaissance brand standards and business goals. The ideal candidate is a strong visual storyteller who can simplify complex ideas, work efficiently across multiple projects, and create modular templates that scale across the organization. What will this role entail?

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in motion graphics/design, preferably supporting marketing, brand, product, or agency work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Canva or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of developing unified brand experiences, including the ability to apply guidelines across varied campaign needs.
  • Strong understanding of animation principles, typography, and design composition.
  • Ability to intake client information and develop concise, impactful stories.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in various states of production and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating motion assets for social platforms, paid digital media, product launches, and/or internal communications.
  • Organize and maintain project files, shared asset libraries, and templates so work can be efficiently reused and updated.
  • Stay current on motion design trends, platform best practices, and tools (including Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva) to improve quality and speed.
  • Support production needs such as versioning, resizing, light video editing, and exporting for multiple channels to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to leverage AI solutions to streamline and improve workflows and outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and animate high-quality motion graphics for video, social media, and digital campaigns.
  • Create templates for use by graphics team.
  • Develop visual treatments, storyboards, and style frames for projects.
  • Ensure all assets align with brand identity, tone, and technical requirements.
  • Partner with brand, product marketing, content, web, and internal communications stakeholders to develop concepts and translate briefs into effective motion deliverables.
  • Adapt and repurpose creative across formats and placements (paid/organic social, web, email, presentations, event screens) while maintaining visual consistency and message clarity.
  • Provide creative input on visual storytelling, pacing, and design direction, and iterate based on stakeholder feedback and performance insights when available.
