The Design team is an integral part of the Creative group within Paramount Brand Studio. Design is a part of the entire life cycle of a project from pre-sale, where we use design to establish the premium value of our offerings, to post sale and production where we develop branded content for partners. In this role, your primary function will be to help ideate and create motion graphics and VFX solutions for creative campaigns. Collaboration is at the core of this role as you will be working closely with Art Directors, Creative Directors, Writers, Producers, Project Managers, Editors, Marketers and Talent counterparts to develop custom creative ranging from branded content, custom IP collabs, white label commercials, influencer and social first storytelling, bespoke animation, VFX and so much more. The ideal candidate is a seasoned motion/VFX designer with a strong knowledge of motion design principles, industry best practices, social platforms and new technologies who has a passion for developing innovative and effective solutions. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are a dynamic problem solver, a creative storyteller, and a fan of our content.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years' design experience and complete fluency in Adobe Suite including After Effects, Premiere Photoshop, Illustrator etc.
  • Experience working in an agency / marketing setting / team.
  • A portfolio with clear examples of past work in motion design and VFX
  • An experience-informed knowledge of the video production process, and where motion design fits in, including knowledge of file types, terminology, software, technical specifications of deliverables and more.
  • An understanding of working within established brands and how to effectively co-brand content to meet network and client standards
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and an ability to use quantitative and qualitative insights
  • A future-forward approach and intimate knowledge of emerging Animation, VFX, and AI solutions. Experience in Runway is preferred.
  • Unique balance of disciplined critical thinking, creative passion, and a willingness to be hands-on
  • Well-organized, diligent, ability to prioritize and multi-task as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A problem solver approach and the desire to tackle projects with the gusto of a startup employee.
  • Impeccably high standards for quality work

Nice To Haves

  • A basic understanding of 3D (Cinema 4D, Maya etc) is preferred for this position.
  • Experience in Runway is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be a primary resource for the execution of motion graphics and VFX for our Creative team
  • Demonstrate expertise and thought leadership across motion design and VFX implementation
  • Seek Qualitative excellence in motion design, while ensuring maximum efficiency and meeting various lengths of deadlines.
  • Prioritize and deliver multiple deliverables for various projects at once.
  • Ability to strategically package & present complex executions in an easy-to-understand format
  • Pre-determine motion and VFX needs and challenges, and address them proactively, and efficiently with custom and templatized solutions
  • Understand the needs and asks of our internal and external clients, and create executions that don't just meet the ask, but uplevel the creative ideas.
