Motion Detection intern The Arlo Hardware team is seeking an intern to participate in our motion detection development and testing. The primary responsibility of the intern will be to perform testing of various prototypes, collect data, perform some data analysis and graphing, suggest modifications. The testing will be in the area of motion detection, using multiple technologies. The intern will work directly under the supervision of a full-time Arlo engineer. You are a self-starter and able to overcome roadblocks independently, reaching out to others as needed. You are curious and like to solve problems with creative solutions.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Python scripting
• Experience with test data reporting, such as generating plots, graphs, result tables,…
• BSEE, BSCS, or Physics degree

Nice To Haves

• Any experience with motion detection design or testing (LiDAR, mmWave, video analytics, PIR,..) a plus but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform motion detection testing on products in development and also on vendor reference platforms.
• Compile test data and reports in a clear way for review by other team members
• Use automation such as Python for data collection and some filtering and analysis
• Debug problems to find root causes and solutions, reaching out to other team members as needed.
• As needed, perform other types of testing upon request.
