About The Position

We’re looking for a skilled and passionate designer with strong production capabilities to help uplevel our creative output. Strong in After Effects and Adobe software, and (at minimum) interested in Cinema 4D and 3D design and animation. You'll be part of a fast-paced, fast-growing creative team with the opportunity to work on projects big and small—directly impacting revenue on a multibillion-dollar global tech brand. As a member of the larger marketing team, you’ll play a role in supporting a multi-disciplinary brand team—working cross-functionally with marketing, growth, and creative department stakeholders to create compelling, high-quality content across all channels. This role reports into our Senior Creative Director. We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be on-site at our HQ in San Mateo, CA 5 days a week.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of visual design & motion design experience in a creative/advertising setting.
  • A portfolio of work showcasing a strong multidisciplinary approach to visual solutions and storytelling, including all forms of brand and advertising-based design and production.
  • Hands-on experience in the creative process focusing largely on production & execution.
  • You’re also an After Effects and motion graphics dynamo—from visual design, 2D animation, and editing in Premier, you love the art and craft of making compelling content, in static and motion.
  • You have 3D skills or, at the very least, are interested in learning. We’re looking for someone who is interested in at least 30% of their workflow to be 3D. However, it can be much higher if you have experience.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities.
  • You’re curious and a critical thinker—you look deeper than visual harmony, thinking about what makes the most compelling piece of communication.
  • Love storyboarding and helping develop the narrative? Perfect.

Responsibilities

  • Focusing primarily on brand and product marketing, you’ll be a hands-on maker helping create the content that drives our growth.
  • Creating relevant, tailor-made product marketing and brand content for static, animated, and video formats.
  • Refining ideas and improving executions—putting the high polish on everything we make.
  • You’ll have the chance to wear many creative hats in the creative department, including design, creative ideation, attending photoshoots, video production, and more.
  • You’ll help identify creative opportunities that improve the creative output, and help find unique tactics to leverage creative assets and outputs from other campaigns.
