About The Position

We're currently seeking a Full-Time Motility/Endoscopy Technician to support our Procedure Center. This vital role is part of our GI service line, where you'll work hands-on in procedure rooms alongside physicians, nurses, and anesthesia staff. You'll also rotate through our scope reprocessing room and assist with supply management and patient care across various procedural areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous employment or training as an Endoscopy Technician, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or Motility Technician preferred.
  • Prior GI experience, scope reprocessing experience, prior experience working in a procedural area is strongly preferred.
  • Prior Peds experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of computer keyboard and software preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric experience and 3+ years in a related role.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure equipment is functioning properly; troubleshoot and report issues.
  • Set up procedure rooms with appropriate endoscopes, instruments, and supplies.
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain all GI Lab equipment per policy.
  • Accurately label, log, and transport specimens.
  • Conduct motility studies, ambulatory pH monitoring, and wireless pH studies.
  • Maintain required logs (e.g., scope reprocessor, disinfectant levels, equipment maintenance).
  • Transport patients and GI travel carts safely when needed.
  • Provide patient education and ensure a positive experience in the GI Lab.
  • Handle patient and family interactions with courtesy and care.
  • Attend staff meetings, mandatory in-services, and participate in performance improvement.
  • Maintain supply inventory, rotate stock, and restock procedure rooms.
  • Identify and report safety hazards; contribute to a clean, safe work environment.
  • Comply with all hospital and GI Lab policies, including privacy and emergency protocols.
  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and editing from clinical studies.
  • Support Equipment Reprocessors when needed; return unused supplies to storage.
  • Assume responsibility for professional development and self-review.
