About The Position
We recruit highly skilled individuals across a variety of construction disciplines. A skilled craft worker is an essential cog in the wheel of any Superior Construction project. Qualified applicants will have experience working on Heavy Civil, Roadway, or Bridge Projects. Applicants must be familiar with working from heights and/or Manlifts. Your role within the company will include participation in site safety, protection of the environment, and construction of exciting and challenging projects. Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/highway construction projects. Responsible for the proper set up and take down of all traffic control devices, as well as maintaining the setup for the duration of the job. Maintains a clean and well-organized job site: proper storage and use of consumable materials; picks up debris and waste for proper disposal, maintains equipment appearance and secures/stores small tools and supplies. Flagging traffic; assisting with lane and shoulder closures. Maintains sidewalks, including ADA mats, temporary right-of-way fencing, drums, cones, and reflective devices. Other Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations. Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries. Long hours of standing, bending, lifting
Requirements
- Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
- MOT Advanced, certified.
- Must be reliable/have reliable transportation
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of experience as a MOT Laborer work
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
