About The Position

A Southland Holdings company is currently seeking a motivated MOT Supervisor to join our team in Lake Worth, Florida. The MOT Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our construction sites, overseeing day-to-day operations and managing a team of MOT (Maintenance of Traffic) Laborers.

Requirements

Must have FDOT MOT Supervisor Certification
Compliance with all safety regulations is mandatory.
Knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulations is also required.
Must work in all weather conditions and prepared for both extreme heat and cold.
Must be available to work over-time.
Must pass post offer pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring all operations comply with company, state, and client safety standards.
Coordinate the distribution and placement of traffic control signs and markers according to designated plans.
Supervise the setup, maintenance, and teardown of work zones, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
Lead by example in lifting, carrying, and placing traffic cones and assembling traffic control signs as needed.
Train and mentor flaggers on proper techniques for directing traffic through work zones.
Ensure trucks and equipment are well-organized and maintained for operational readiness.
Direct traffic movement through work sites using signals and signage effectively.
