About The Position
Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions is pioneering a fresh approach to today's mortgage lending challenges, offering a breadth of alternative lending products to allow partners to grow their retail business and better serve their customers. The Mortgage Underwriter underwrites wholesale loans. As a key role in the organizational process, the Underwriter is responsible for reviewing all loan files for adherence to AOMS guidelines, issuing all loan approvals and declinations in compliance with RESPA and ECOA measures, and conditioning loans in accordance with program and federal requirements. The Underwriter works directly with the broker or correspondent and is the sole individual responsible for issuance of a file to close. Additionally, the Underwriter is responsible for pipeline management to adhere to turn times and compliance requirements, and coordinates resolution of any auditing deficiencies with Quality Assurance and Management.
