About The Position

The Mortgage Servicing Special Loan Administration role at PenFed is designed to manage and monitor the special servicing process in mortgage servicing. This includes overseeing various loan types, ensuring compliance with client, agency, and investor guidelines, and maintaining high standards of service. The position requires a proactive approach to portfolio management, focusing on timely processing and auditing of Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) products, as well as handling complex loan modifications and servicing tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years in a financial institution with direct mortgage servicing experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of servicing HELOC loan products.
  • Proficiency in BKFS (Black Knight/MSP) and Consumer Loan Workstation.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on project coordination.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgment for business problem resolution.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with estate accounts and revocable trusts.
  • Familiarity with SCRA processing and recasts.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet member expectations related to Special Loan Servicing, including loan modifications and ARM administration.
  • Perform all levels of Quality Control for HELOC loan servicing and audits.
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of team-assigned tasks according to established service standards.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly ARM indexes and updates on the servicing platform.
  • Coordinate with internal business areas to manage data and member experiences.
  • Complete payment adjustments and monitor special loan products.
  • Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to build and maintain partnerships.
  • Document all member contact accurately through the mortgage loan servicing system MSP.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and problem solve for loan issues, providing sound resolutions.
  • Monitor daily reporting and operational controls to mitigate risks.
