About The Position

As a Secondary Market Specialist, you will assist with the day-to-day activities of the Secondary Market team, including but not limited to: Analyzing and producing daily rate sheets, updating rate sheets and pricing engine for distribution to designated Bank sources and within the appropriate timelines. You will assist with the selling and/or purchasing of loans in the Secondary Market, including Government Sponsored Enterprises, Correspondent and other Investors. Your responsibilities will also include tracking and loan package administration for all Investor related loan sales and purchases of CRA wholesale Loans. You will provide additional documentation to third party vendors to comply with funding requirements, package and deliver sold loans to the approved investors within the appropriate timelines. Additionally, you will monitor the pipeline of loans and commitments for sale ability and expiration, working daily with the Secondary Market and Construction Risk Manager to administer Rate Lock policies and assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business or related discipline.
  • Two (2) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years mortgage or lending experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex documents.
  • Effective communication skills with both internal and external contacts.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
  • Self-directed and motivated.
  • Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • Strong understanding of secondary market guidelines and regulations, with knowledge of various GSEs (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac).
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain documents for Secondary Market Loan Sales, such as Freddie/Fannie Mae, ensuring all sold loan notes are submitted within the allotted timeframe.
  • Analyze, prepare and communicate daily loan pricing for Home Lending - Mortgages, maintaining and updating all loan pricing documentation.
  • Evaluate sold loan reports to ensure accuracy, data integrity and timely commitment.
  • Review loan data to maintain sale ability of pipeline and remove any loans from reports that do not meet established criteria.
  • Provide regular management updates on mortgage pipelines and track loan package maintenance for all investor related loan sales and purchases of CRA Wholesale Loans.
  • Work with Investors and Mortgage Insurance Companies to provide documentation for loan defects/repurchase requests.
  • Assist the Secondary Market and Construction Risk Manager in analysis and document collection for builder acceptance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
