About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Texana Bank is looking for a Recruiter with mortgage recruiting experience. The Recruiter’s primary focus will be to fill our internal mortgage sales and operations roles. A successful recruiter will collaborate with department managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs. The Recruiter will manage the recruiting process including sourcing of candidates, screening resumes, initial phone screens, in-person interviews, scheduling candidate interviews with hiring managers and notifying the candidate once a final hiring decision has been made.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Recruiter
  • 1-2 years of recruiting experience, Mortgage Industry experience preferred
  • Solid ability to screen and qualify candidates over the phone and in person
  • Ability to collaborate with the Human Resources team.
  • Excellent communication (written/oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Promote a positive work environment
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • High school diploma or general education degree

Responsibilities

  • Consults with management to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
  • Develops and updates job descriptions and job specifications.
  • Prepares recruitment materials and post jobs to multiple job boards.
  • Sources resumes/candidates from various job boards.
  • Sources resumes/candidates from cold calling prospective hires.
  • Proactively builds a network of candidates that can quickly fill frequently posted positions.
  • Reviews resumes/applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and provides that information to the hiring manager.
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
