About The Position

Mortgage Processor JOB SUMMARY: The Processor is responsible for verifying and completing financial information in mortgage applications to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory guidelines

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Processing policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of mortgage lending policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including: LOS (Byte), Desktop Underwriter, GUS, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Ability to make good decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to problem solve conflicts.
  • Ability to work under strict time deadlines.
  • Ability to interact effectively with realtors, builders, sellers, and title companies.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of mortgage loan processing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles and reviews financial information and documents for mortgage applications and confirms compliance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Reviews financial information and documents for accuracy and completeness and calculates income and reviews assets and liabilities to ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Provides mortgage application information requirements to the necessary parties.
  • Maintains a pipeline of loan files in various stages of processing as designated by management and ensures customer service standards are met.
  • Maintains and updates loan application information within the LOS system.
  • Prepares and Issues forms required for regulatory compliance.
  • Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department.
  • Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
