About The Position

The position involves assisting team members and borrowers in all aspects of processing a Mortgage Loan Application. This includes answering questions both over the phone and in person, helping members assess all loan documents needed to meet guidelines, and completing the processing of their mortgage loan application. The role requires engagement with management, loan originators, underwriters, members, and third-party vendors to ensure a cooperative work environment. Responsibilities include requesting, ordering, and gathering documentation needed for submission to investors and/or the underwriting department in a timely manner. The individual will also be required to pre-order all needed outsourced items following milestone tasks and workflows, review files to ensure they remain structured throughout the process, and assist underwriting by reviewing guidelines, income, assets, and issuing TBD pre-approvals. Additionally, the role involves sending out initial closing disclosures and ensuring compliance with Mavent. Knowledge of closing processes, loan balancing, closing document creation, wire orders, and reviewing final documents for funding is also necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of first mortgage loan processing experience.
  • Ability to oversee a pipeline of 25+ conventional files per month.
  • At least one year of experience with Encompass LOS software.
  • Secondary market experience is preferred.
  • Excellent oral, written, and listening skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple work deadlines on several projects simultaneously.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptable to workflows of the mortgage industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with loan balancing and closing document creation.
  • Attendance of seminars and workshops related to mortgage processing.
