About The Position

Initiates the mortgage process for potential clients, preparing, analyzing, and verifying mortgage loan applications for the purchase or refinance of real estate. Identifies and attracts new clients by networking with real estate agents, financial advisors, and past clients to generate referrals.   Essential Functions  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Establish and maintain a network of business relationships, consisting of real estate professionals, builders, etc. Meet with potential borrowers regarding their mortgage needs. Present bank's mortgage products and services that meet borrower’s financial goals.   Complete the borrower’s application and analyze the borrowers financial and credit data.  Lock rate per company and regulatory guidelines.  Prepare or request all applicable loan documentation from the appropriate party or department.   Work with Centralized Processing Department to ensure attorney and appraisal work is ordered and all documentation is handled professionally and efficiently. Maintain communication with the borrower regarding the loan status. Maintain thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.  Service all in-house and secondary market loans in your portfolio. (all requests including, escrows, payments, payoffs, etc.)  Interact with clients and internal partners daily to answer questions, solve problems, and deliver the highest-level of customer service. Assist clients with monthly billing and collections cycle. Monitor the status of delinquent payments and follow-up with clients on an ongoing basis, while also working with Debt Management on Collections. Work directly with other departments to resolve any issues or concerns with any customer in your portfolio.   Other Duties Look for referral opportunities within the company (insurance, deposits, etc.). Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires strong networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial/quantitative skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills including Excel.
  • Must be registered with NMLS Federal Registry.
  • Minimum of two years residential mortgage lending experience.

Nice To Haves

  • A four-year college degree is preferred.
