About The Position

The Mortgage Loan Processor is a fully proficient mortgage professional responsible for independently processing, preparing, reviewing and finalizing loan closing packages for residential real estate loans in accordance with Bank, Investor, and Secondary Market guidelines. This role manages a full pipeline of moderate to higher-complexity loans while owning the loan file from processing through closing, with post-closing support as needed. The Loan Processor II ensures loans are completed accurately, timely, and in full regulatory compliance, while proactively resolving issues and serving as a knowledgeable resource to peers. This position represents a core production role and serves as the bridge between execution and expertise, with accountability for turn times, compliance accuracy, and dependable coverage across processing and closing functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of one (1) years of experience in similar job duties

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a full pipeline of assigned loan files from Processing to Clear-to-Close.
  • Submit complete and accurate files to underwriting and address conditions independently.
  • Manage conventional, HELOC, FHA, VA, USDA, and DPA/grant files.
  • Proactively communicate with borrowers, Loan Officers, and third parties to resolve issues and protect closing timelines.
  • Ensure loan documentation meets Bank, Investor, and regulatory standards.
  • Perform HMDA first-level reviews and data validation.
  • Prepare adverse action documentation as needed and ensure regulatory timelines are met.
  • Maintain minimal compliance defects across assigned files.
  • Prepare and review Closing Disclosures prior to issuance.
  • Assemble and deliver complete and compliant closing packages.
  • Perform loan setup, checkbacks, and closing calendar coordination.
  • Participate actively in meetings and workflow discussions.
  • Provide peer support and assist with process improvements.
  • Serve as a steady, dependable contributor within the team.
