Mortgage Loan Processor (Bloomington)
About The Position
At SharePoint Credit Union, we are dedicated to offering easy financial solutions to improve the financial wellness of the communities in which we serve. We are growing, and invite individuals who are energetic, friendly, and member service driven to join our team. Our Mortgage Loan Processors assist members with their loan applications; they process and make loan disbursements. This position is in-office full time; 40 hours a week. General hours of operation are 8:30am-5:00pm. Some flexibility may be required to fit the needs of the business. Hourly rate: $24.00-$26.00/hour.
Requirements
- One-two years of similar or related experience.
- A high school education or GED.
- Employee must be bondable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast past work environment
- Must have good communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Calyx Point is a plus
- Knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines/ regulations (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA) Experience with DNA Core System is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing residential loan application files to verify that application data is complete and meets SharePoint standards.
- Ordering appraisal, title, and other documentation
- Work with 3rd party vendors to ensure accuracy of data
- Submits loans to underwriting and follows-up on any conditions
- Keeping loan officer and borrowers updated on status of application
- Prepares closing package in compliance with investor requirements and sends closing instructions to title company closer.
- Recording data on status of loans, including number of new applications and loans approved, canceled, or denied.
- Ships closed loan files to investor for purchase follows up on any post closing conditions
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Preparing and mailing approval and denial letters to applicants.
