About the position
The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate packaging of all loans originated by loan officers. This role involves managing the loan process from pre-approval to closing, ensuring compliance with company policies and loan qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Gather information and take each file from pre-approval to closing.
- Input proper loan information into the system for processing.
- Familiarity with DU, LP & GUS and loan qualification parameters is required.
- Ensure that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified, and complies with company policy.
- Verify loan documents including income, credit, appraisal, and title insurance, preparing applications for submittal to underwriting.
- Review file documentation and ensure all items needed are requested.
- Order and coordinate loan documents.
- Meet crucial deadlines as requested.
- Perform any additional duties/activities assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years loan processing experience required.
- Experience in mortgage lending and knowledge of loan types, such as FHA, FHLB, FNMA, or VA loans required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
