You’re motivated, relationship-driven, and ready to grow your career in mortgage lending. At C&N, we’re seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator I to join our Mortgage Lending team. In this role, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the mortgage process while helping clients find home financing solutions that fit their goals. Requirements

• Education & Experience – You will need a Bachelor's Degree AND 2-4 years previous related experience in a customer service setting, preferably in a banking environment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Required Certifications – NMLS (within 1 year of employment)
• Skills – You should possess well-developed abilities and a proven track record in the following areas: Excellent communication and active listening skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Solid understanding of mortgage lending fundamentals. Ability to travel for client and community engagements.

Responsibilities

• Client Relationships: Build rapport with clients through clear, friendly communication and assist them throughout the mortgage process—from collecting documents to coordinating closings.
• Loan Origination: Learn to originate and process conforming and non-conforming residential mortgages while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Networking & Referrals: Develop relationships with centers of influence such as realtors, attorneys, builders, and internal partners to expand C&N’s mortgage presence.
• Collaboration: Partner with Loan Processors, fellow lenders, and branch teammates to deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Cross-Selling: Identify client needs and refer additional C&N products and services to provide a full financial solution.
• Community Involvement: Represent C&N through active participation in local events and initiatives.
