About The Position

nbkc bank is seeking a mission-driven Mortgage Loan Originator - Community Lender to join their award-winning Home Loan Sales team. This role focuses on helping people achieve the dream of homeownership, especially in low- to moderate-income (LMI) and underserved communities. The position involves building meaningful connections with Kansas City borrowers, guiding them through the mortgage process with care and transparency, and partnering closely with the Community Development Officer to reach LMI and underserved households. The successful candidate will provide tailored financing solutions, expert advice, and seamless support from application through close, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a top-notch client experience every step of the way.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of sales experience
• Knowledge of mortgage regulations, products, and programs
• A people-first mindset with proven business development skills
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
