About The Position

Mortgage Loan Officer Location: Anchorage or Juneau Salary: Base plus commission Full Time True North FCU is a member-owned, full-service credit union, and our mission is to provide quality financial solutions for our members. We are seeking an experienced mortgage originator to join our team. This position is responsible for interviewing mortgage applicants with high level of accuracy and great attention to detail. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, sound judgement and ability to foster solid relationships. Previous financial industry experience preferred but we are willing to train the right applicant. See below. Pay DOE.

Requirements

• Preferred: Two to five years of related experience.
• Two years of financial industry experience required in addition to two years of real estate lending experience.
• Associate degree or completion of specialized course of study or apprenticeship program
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• This position requires a high level of trust and diplomacy

Nice To Haves

• Previous financial industry experience preferred but we are willing to train the right applicant.

Responsibilities

• Loan applicant interviews to document income, debit and credit history.
• Gather applicant documentation.
• Maintain communication with applicant throughout application process.
• Work closely with loan underwriter.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance and service are up to Credit Union standards.
