Mortgage Loan Officer
About The Position
Park View Federal Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Loan Officer at our Harmony Square branch! We are looking for a sales-oriented professional that will help members seeking a loan to achieve their financial goals by identifying needs, assessing current situations, and inviting members and potential members to use our credit union products and services. This position is entrepreneurial in nature and involves profiling member needs, relationship building, follow-up, and dedicated service to promote member loyalty. The Mortgage Loan Advisor will stay current on loan policies and procedures, as well as features and benefits of loans and credit union products and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business Administration
- Two or more years of prior experience in residential mortgage lending or related field
- Previous sales experience with a focus on generating self-sourced business
- Life experiences demonstrating ability to manage personal finances and offer financial advice
- Extensive knowledge of credit union loan products with proven ability to assess loans and make calculated risks
- Thorough understanding of Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), Government-Backed Loan programs such as Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Veterans Affairs (VA), and other types of loans, construction, and conventional loans
- Comfortably communicates and creates relationships with members through active conversations to uncover potential needs
- Active NMLS license
