About The Position

Requirements

High School graduate; Bachelor’s Degree in business related field a plus
2+ years residential mortgage origination experience
Proven production emphasis on self-reliant business sourcing contacts with key market partners (eg: realtors, RE agents, builders, financial advisors, attorneys, CPAs)
Proven residential mortgage sales track record with proven ability to meet minimum closed loan production standards of $10M in the past 12 months
Demonstrated familiarity with conventional conforming (Fannie, Freddie), jumbo and government (FHA) loan programs
Excellent customer service skills and the willingness and availability to assist customers according to their convenience (eg: weekends, nights) and professionally overcome objections
Must be organized, committed, self-starting, goal oriented, and consumer-friendly with an ability to professionally represent Univest regarding the customer’s relationship with Univest
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including: oComplete, professional, timely communication oAbility to simply explain loan programs, terms, features and benefits to customers and referral sources.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction, set schedules, meet dead lines, understand pricing, follow through, and introduce other Univest products
Proven PC skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite; Encompass a plus
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a respectable vehicle
Must be willing to work on a 100% commission basis

Responsibilities

Provide training and new product seminars for in-house personnel and market partners
Develop target prospect lists and call plans to solicit new business
Represent the unit in corporate and community related activities to increase visibility and nurture relationships which will generate new business, customer leads, and referrals
Develop a full understanding of the Univest’s mortgage and other product offerings
Responsible for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the position, including RESPA, TILA and Agency guidelines
Perform additional duties as required
