About The Position

This position is for a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) based in Lubbock, responsible for assisting members with their mortgage lending needs. The role involves analyzing loan requests and making credit decisions based on mortgage lending policy, while consistently exercising discretion and judgment. A significant portion of the role (50%) involves outside sales, where the MLO is expected to continually identify, develop, and maintain a quality network of business relationships with real estate professionals, builders, professional and personal contacts, and other valuable referral sources for new mortgage lending opportunities. The MLO will enhance this network through regular participation in business-related development opportunities, community efforts to promote homeownership, and professional organizations. The MLO responds to member inquiries and referrals generated from both their own contacts and other Alliance business channels. Key duties include conducting interviews with prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data, determine member financing objectives, advise members of product/pricing policies and guidelines, and gather any additional required information. The MLO ensures exceptional member service by maintaining thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics, complying with all Federal and State compliance policies, and adhering to HMDA requirements.

Responsibilities
