This role handles a broad range of loan products and moderately complex transactions while consistently meeting established production goals. The MLO II serves as a reliable resource to newer Team Members and contributes to process awareness and operational improvement.

Requirements

  • Required Experience: 2 to 4 years of similar experience
  • NMLS License
  • Current network of self-sourced mortgage origination contracts
  • Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Accountable for consistent production performance.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Experience: Demonstrated track record of successful closing mortgage loans and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience working with a diverse portfolio of mortgage products, including FHA, and VA Loans.
  • Proficient knowledge of FNMA, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae guidelines
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Encompass.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software.

Responsibilities

  • Independently originate and manage a full pipeline of first mortgage loans, meeting or exceeding established production expectations.
  • Handle moderately complex loan scenarios with strong working knowledge across most mortgage programs.
  • Manage member communication independently throughout the loan lifecycle, ensuring timely updates and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively with processors, underwriters, and leadership to ensure efficient loan progression and closing.
  • Serve as a resource to Mortgage Loan Officer I team members and processors by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Identify potential process inefficiencies, risks, or member experience issues and escalate appropriately.
  • Build and maintain strong referral relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and internal partners.
  • Stay current on industry regulations, market trends, and product changes to support accurate guidance.
  • Maintain full compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements.
