About The Position
Zions Bancorporation is seeking a dedicated Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for soliciting and bringing in mortgage business for the bank through previous contacts, relationships, and referrals from real estate agents, builders, developers, and branches. You will ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines while performing loan originator duties. Your responsibilities will include interviewing potential applicants to gather information concerning their needs and desires, as well as obtaining and reviewing pertinent financial and credit data. You will assist customers with information about loan types and interest rate options, locking interest rates as requested, preparing and sending initial disclosures to customers, and submitting information to automated underwriting software. It is crucial to ensure that any re-disclosures are made timely, and you will also be responsible for ordering appraisals, arranging for title searches, and obtaining necessary documents. Throughout the process, you will communicate with customers and work closely with processors to ensure a smooth closing of residential home loans.
