About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to support our Mortgage Loan Officers in managing the mortgage application process from initial contact through closing. The ideal candidate is fluent in both Spanish and English, highly organized, member-focused and experienced in handling confidential financial information. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our members.

Requirements

• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required
• Familiarity with loan origination software
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years of mortgage and/or banking experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist Mortgage Loan Officers in gathering, reviewing and organizing loan application documents
• Communicate with members in both Spanish and English to collect required information and provide updates
• Help prepare and submit loan files to processing, ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Order and track third-party services such as appraisal, title reports and verifications
• Maintain consistent follow up with members, real estate agents, builders, etc.
• Monitor loan status and ensure deadlines are met throughout the loan process
• Input and update borrower information in loan origination software
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and Company Lending Regulations
• Provide exceptional member service and respond promptly to inquires
