Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in debt collections, mortgage servicing, or related roles preferred
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Contact delinquent mortgage borrowers via inbound and outbound phone calls
- Negotiate payment plans and arrangements to avoid mortgage delinquency
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and borrower interactions
- Monitor and follow up on accounts to ensure timely resolution of overdue payments
- Review borrowers for home retention programs based on loan type and eligibility
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to debt collection practices
- Other job duties as assigned
